VR & AR Week is returning to ArtStation from April 17-21! During this celebration of the talented VR, AR, and XR artists on ArtStation, we’ll be holding six live Q&A events on ArtStation Blogs with top schools and studios, showcasing the community’s incredible projects, spotlighting career opportunities for artists, and more.
To get ready for this exciting week on ArtStation, make sure to update your ArtStation VR, AR, and XR portfolio work so that it’s included in the event’s featured Virtual and Augmented Reality Channel.
How do I upload my work to the Virtual and Augmented Reality Channel?
When uploading or editing a project from your portfolio manager, scroll down to the “Subject Matter” section of the page. Add “Virtual and Augmented Reality” to your project with the search bar. After you publish, your work will be added to the Virtual and Augmented Reality Channel.
How do I follow the Virtual and Augmented Reality Channel?
Go here and click the blue “+” in the top right corner of the “Virtual and Augmented Reality” button in the channel row to add it to your homepage.

Live Q&A Schedule – Thursday April 20th
8:00 – 9:00 AM ET: New3dge Concept Art
For this Q&A, artist iris muddy will be joined by Antoine Decamps, Misa Steinmetz, Julie Martinez, Amandine Patte, and Harold Malespine to answer your questions about New3dge Concept Art. iris recently delivered a week-long introduction to VR at New3dge to help students learn how to create a base for a final image or series of images.

Don’t miss your chance to ask Historic VR‘s Jake Nixon, Jurand Macioszczyk, Sorana-Elena Corbu, and Béla Csampai your questions live during this special Q&A. Philip Meredith and Kevin Nally are hosting a special Q&A with Escape Studios, one of the UK’s premier VFX, Animation and Games Art training and teaching institutions. Escape has been at the forefront of creative education since 2002, supplying the industry with studio-ready talent. Over 4,500 alumni (dubbed ‘Escapees’) started their careers at Escape, honing their skills here first and then moving on to great success within the industry.

2:00 – 3:00 PM ET: Skydance Interactive
Leif Estes and Dana Klaren are our hosts for this Q&A with Skydance Interactive, a studio creating and publishing original and IP-based virtual reality and other immersive games. Their first VR game (the award-winning Archangel) launched in July 2017 to great fan acclaim. Skydance Interactive more recently partnered with Skybound Entertainment to create The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners, which launched worldwide in January 2020 and has been nominated for awards like Best VR/AR Game by The Game Awards and PC Game of the Year by the Golden Joystick Awards.
